A company out of Taiwan has announced that Dell will be releasing a 8.9″ wide-screen subcompact laptop sometime around June. For those of you keeping track, this is also right around the same time that Intel will be releasing it’s new Atom processor for ultra-portables. The laptop will apparently cost around $499 and has been basically confirmed by Dell’s CEO who said “We will introduce a similar laptop” when asked about HP’s new ultra-portable.
